Haiti / Security: Frantz Elbé congratulates the police officers who tracked down gangs

The Acting Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) paid a visit on Thursday, May 5, 2022, to the Departmental Directorate of Police / Ouest-2. Through this visit, Frantz Elbé wanted to congratulate and encourage the police officers who took part in the operations and interventions aimed at tracking down armed gangs in several neighborhoods including: Butte Boyer, Croix-des-Missions, Shada, Santo, among others.

Port-au-Prince, May 6, 2022.- The Commander-in-Chief of the National Police of Haiti highlighted the bravery and heroic sense of these agents. The latter who devoted themselves body and soul for several days to tracking down bandits in the areas of Butte Boyer, Croix-des-Missions, Shada, Santo, among others. These police officers notably cleared the roads to restore public order in areas taken hostage by bandits.

Frantz Elbé encouraged the police to stay the course in order to consolidate the police presence in these neighborhoods.

The Director General ai of the police institution thus brought his solidarity to these agents during a visit made, in the afternoon of Thursday, May 5, 2022, to the Departmental Directorate of Police of the West 2. Frantz Elbé was accompanied by members of the Police High Command. At least that’s what the PNH communications office confirmed in a statement.

This note specifies that the number 1 of the PNH promised to continue to work in favor of the improvement of the working conditions of the police officers. In this sense, Frantz Elbé urges agents to remain faithful to their commitment to protect and serve the population.
